lookat-france travellers’ tales

www.lookat-france.com is a travel portal for France, still in the early stages of development. It’s geared to the person hunting for information about where to stay, where to eat, and what to see or do, but we also want a section for the ‘armchair traveller’ without any particular travel plans at the moment - i.e. a mine of interesting travel articles.

This doesn’t fit comfortably with the structure of the main site, but it seems perfect for a blog, so that’s the way we’re handling it. Using a blog format allows you, the reader, to:

- search for articles by category (accommodation, food, activities, even your favorite contributing author)

- use an RSS feed to show you updates and additions as and when they appear

- add your own comments to any article (particularly useful for others reading the article)

- easily link to an article from your own site

France is a big country with a wealth of different places to see and things to do. If you are a keen travel writer, why not submit an article? Length is not critical. Just make sure every word earns its place, make people want to carry on reading, and provide any useful contact information separately.
